Have you had a look at the raw HTML returned by Google? Gives me a right
headache, it does.

1. This is search engine specific. It's up to the search site on how it
encodes boolean and other operators.
2. The "+" signs in the Google URLs are escaped spaces. Google always
(with one exception) applies boolean OR on all key words. The exception
is when you use the "Exact Phrase" text input box. Since over here both
the Telcos and the ISPs charge by the minute, I am disinclined to
experiment further. The hints I gave should be more than enough to get
people like Heimo started.
By the way even the latest versions of NetTamer will mess up when trying
to follow hyperlinks when you go back and forth as when you are going
through a page of search results. After a bit, NetTamer starts
generating invalid and corrupted HTTP gets causing webservers to return
404 URL not found errors. I am convinced that the state engine in
NetTamer needs a complete rewrite.
