While it is true that Nettamer cannot be used to access HotMail, the
problem is not owing to the fact that HotMail is a "web-based" service.
Several web-based email services, including HotMail, used to work with
Nettamer until they changed the way they coded their web pages. Some
"web-based" email services provide also for a POP3 interface. HotMail
is not one of them. I know of one web-based email service that will
work with Nettamer when accessed via the POP3 interface, but it will not
work with Nettamer via its www interface. Using a Windows browser you
may sign up for a free web-based email account at
http://www.operamail.com. Once signed up you may use Nettamer to access
your Operamail account via the POP3 interface, but not via the www
interface. Using Lynx386 for DOS, you may access your Operamail account
via the www interface. If Nettamer would offer better support for forms
you would be able to access your Operamail account via the www interface
by using Nettamer.
