You've not detailed your hardware for us to be of help. Please do.

If you did install it once, you could probably do it once more in case
the upgrade messes up the drivers. I've not used the 8.0x>>9,x upgrade
option much to tell you conclusively if it does/does not affect
drivers. I'd think it should work smoothly.
