It is somewhat known to some of the more concerned people that most of the *mainstream media in India* is under complete corporate control and with no room for genuine 'freedom'. The business of paid news has also been auto recession-resistant. How do you think has such a media treated FOSS in general and especially in relation to proprietary s/w? What impact has the fairly active FOSS community had ? Has FOSS even been used for the occasional diversion from the usual gimmickry, brain washing, disinformation, masala and the mantra that if more tax-free loans and tax concessions are given to rich, richer and richest corporates, then a spectacular 90% of the population would be freed from indigestion problems? What about FOSS related disinformation?
