The idiocy of rules has to be enforced because most of the 'highest
paid' workforce's managers are so bad at managing people that they
create situations where, workers have to slog everyday. The worst of
the these are the so called flexible hours, which in short translate
into "come at your will but dont go untill manager leaves". If such
rules with idiocy are not forced, the mis-managed mangers would screw
the life of the workers.

And what is it you have with "Dont like the terms find another job".
When whole of the industry is forcing crap conditions, state has to
step in. Read the news item, the rules have been created based on
inputs from unions/associations. Just because you are highly paid
doesnt mean you have to work at weird hours. You are highly paid
because of your skills and it is upto management to create a situation
where your skills are used without burning out the workers.
