While 10.1 has worked perfectly for me, it should be remembered that there are
some significant changes in 10.1 like udev instead of devfs which may not
work well on your particular hardware. Having said that here is a short list
of features in 10.1 I quite like. Nothing radical.

1/ Magicdev instead of supermount for CD media. Inserting a data CD will
automatically mount it, and inserting an audio CD will automatically start
the CD player.

2/ Amarok1.1 as an audio player. Amarok is a really nice audio player if a
bit CPU intensive. (I believe Greg Meyer has packaged Amarok 1.2beta for
10.0 and 10.1 if you want to try it)

3/ Wireless support is better. ndiswrapper works with most 802.11g adapters,
and Intel Centrino wireless is now supported. (Once you have worked out how
to install the proprietary firmware)

As usual some new bugs have crept in. Attachments in Kmail are currently
broken, and so is 'fish' in konqueror.

If you are satisfied with 10.0, then there is no pressing need to upgrade, but
then you would not be using Linux if you did not like to 'fiddle'. :-)
