A lot of people still answer questions. I answer questions when I
can. Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing more harm then good, being a
newbie myself. I know that my system works and I'm preety sure
what I had to do to get there. Another point to make is that the
#mandriva channel is also very busy. Hawkwind and the others are
very active and very helpful. I have grown out of the habit of
posting to the list, to some extent. I do tend to do the
following:
1. Google.
2. Listen on #mandriva - lots of times someone is already being helped for something similar.
3. Ask on #mandriva.
4. Post to the newbie list if I have to go to work (no IRC at work).
I still consider myself active on the list because I do listen and post when I can. The list is a very good resource.
