Not so.
There are no mirrors available to Club members that are not also available to 
the general public with the exception of the club server itself which 
contains only those proprietary packages that cannot appear on the free 
download edition for licensing reasons.

Mandriva has no control at all over the mirrors. They do not pay to have their 
distro put on the mirrors, and you do not pay to use them.


As it happens there is actually an application available to test mirror 
quality (Don't ask me for it I do not remember where to find it), but I find 
the simple way to test how good a mirror is is to just browse it with 
konqueror. If it is unresponsive and takes a long time to do downloads, then 
don't use it. 

You have been given several examples of fast mirrors. Now use them.
