Matt, this package provides that binary for 2006,
#> rpm -q --whatprovides /usr/bin/mysql_config
libmysql14-devel-4.1.12-3mdk
(This assumes you've setup urpmi sources first)
Well, sounds like a borked install, so remove it:
#> urpme libmysql14-devel-4.1.12-3mdk
then ...
#> urpmi libmysql14-devel-4.1.12-3mdk
Hopefully that gets you going.
