Hi all,
I find that it seems XFree86 4.2.0 force me to use virtual desktop when I
switch to lower resolution modes with Alt+Ctrl+(+/-). I remember that the
older versions, which was still implemented with other Xserver libraries,
would not restrict me to use virtual desktop. In case I force the "Virtual"
parameter in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 to a lower resolution, the higher
resolution modes would be rejected. (I remember that there is a
choice to disable virtual desktop when using xf86config to setup my display
card in the older versions). So Would anybody know if these new architecture
support different display mode with no virtual desktop as the older version X?
