Using CVS isn't for the feint of heart. Basically you need to rebuild it, it's dependant on having all the right compilers and libraries.
in short try rpm --rebuild XFree86-4.2.99-6.30.src.rpm and if everything goes right it will write out a long list of RPM's. Then you install the ones you need. Again, this is a Beta version of the SPEC file, being used for a CVS version of the code.
