Marc, you're my hero of the week! I can't believe it, I thought I tried that, I believed I tried it.... But obviously I didn't.
I just got home from work, fired up the laptop, added "Virtual 1024 768" and BAM, it works like a dream!!!! Thank you thank you thank you thank you..... => > => Then, by now, you should have tried setting the virtual => > => resolution to the panel dimensions or specifying the => mode(s) => you => > want in the appropriate display subsection. Either of => => these should => > work. Consult the XF86Config man page for => details, => particularly => > its description of the 'Virtual' and => 'Modes' display subsection => > specifications. => => > Yep, tried that too... :-( => => That's not possible. All modes, larger than the specified => virtual resolution, must be rejected. This is done in the => core binary, and I very much doubt a driver would ever => disable that behaviour. => => What XF86Config does /var/log/XFree86.0.log say it's using? => That's the one you should be modifying. => => Marc. _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
