I've read the postings, and am trying to set up RedHat 7.2 with 2 monitors and video cards. I've used
>> XFree86 -configure
to create an XF86Config file, and have modified this.
I can now get into X by typing XFree86 (and use both monitors), however, this is the bare gui, and loads with _absolutely_ nothing else.
The problem is that I cannot
>> startx
to start the gui. It complains of an error in XF86Config (which can't be there, since the command 'XFree86' works, right?
What I'd like to know is:
On a system where the gui is functioning properly on one of two separate displays, is getting the second display running merely a matter of adjusting the XF86Config file?
Thank you in advance.
