Ok Im going to do what you have suggested, I did a complete restoration of my NightHawk, the carbs are 25 years old and i started to have problems with it . So I had 2 sets of carburators for my motorcycle,I savaged both and i took the best parts to rebuild the new carb set so I bought from Honda many parts, the jets slow are new, the jets main new,all floats level new, also all the gaskets, 2 valve floats are old but still in very good condition and 2 are new,the vacuum pistons are old but they look like new. What I did is first i took photos before i started my work and after that I disassembled all the carbs in sequence, then it was easy to rebuild .I cleaned inside the carbs with a good degreaser . After that I rebuilt all the carbs together. For the pilot screws I pre set them like honda wanted 2-5/8 turns out.I loose all the cables (throttle and choke). I wish this information help you
