I had a 1998 Valkyrie and that bike is interesting to say the least. I had it for about a year and added 10k in addition to the existing 40k without any problems. I did my homework before I got it and I remember it had great reviews 5-stars all around. If you like giant cruisers than you may find it to be the perfect bike for you. I am 6'4" and I think it maybe a little difficult for somebody under 6' to maneuver but not impossible. With a huge V6 it feels like riding a bike with a car engine and it is crazy strong. I had a backrest on mine which is a must have because it made the ride feel like a lazyboy... It is roughly same size as a gold wing so like I said it is a very large bike great for road trips. I guess it was the ride that taught me that I am not quite ready for a couch on wheels so I sold it 4 years ago now. I am still a youngster so perhaps I'll find another in a few more years when my NH, cafes, and sport bikes get too uncomfortable. 174k is a dead motor m8. I wouldn't get it unless it was super cheap. then you ride it until it dies and part it out.

That's just crazIER highER mileage ;) The valk is more of a long mile highway cruiser than the sabre, but I'd prolly pass on one with that high of mileage. Besides, I'm not sure a valk would fit in my garage, those things look longer than my truck! -Kyle -Sent from Ingleside, TX, United States On Fri, Jun 5, 2009 at 2:12 PM, Kyle K.K. <[email protected]> wrote: Crazy high mileage? I agree with everyone else here though, 74K is crazy high mileage, but for $500 it might be fun for a month or two until you have to part it out. -Kyle -Sent from Ingleside, TX, United States On Wed, Jun 3, 2009 at 7:12 AM, NytWing <[email protected]> wrote: I've got a chance to pick up a 1983 V45 Sabre for $500. It's got 74K on the clock, looks like it's in decent shape from the pics. I believe it's 750cc. Any known problems with them? What should I be looking for if I decide to take it for a ride?
