I should have been a bit more specific... you clamp the fork lowers in a vise 
at the thick boss at the bottom (around the axle mounts) never along the hollow 
section. Before removing the fork legs from the bike, loosen the clamps a bit 
and twist the fork tubes in their clamps. They should rotate smoothly without 
binding and the fork bottoms should stay fixed in one place and not wave around 
as you twist them. If they do... they're bent. 
When you get it back together. I'll give you set up instructions for the front 
end. Kinda' long and involved but makes for a safer, better handling bike.
