Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Periodic problems with my 85 CB 650SC

Hey All

Im having some trouble with my bike.

1.
Since I got the bike (roughly 5k miles ago) it has had a bad clutch,
it works fine for a while but slowly the clutch engagement point
travels outwards on the lever untill finally the clutch starts to slip
at high RPM's (4000+)

When this happens I just release the bleed screw at the slave cylinder
where a small jet of brake fluid shoots out, I tighten the bleed screw
while engaging the clutch lever a bit to avoid air getting in. after
this it runs like a charm for a while more.

I have changes the clutch lever, master cylinder piston, spring and
rubber parts, as well as the slave cylinder spring and rubber. the
cylinders looks great so I don't think this is the problem.

When I bled the clutch I did it with the slave cylinder on the bike
and ran a full reservoir of air-less fluid through the system.

2.
The engine seems to periodically run on only 3 cylinders, (Could this
be the carbs needing cleaning?)

3.
When idiling on all 4 cylinders the engine tends to go from 1300 rpm
to 1500 rpm as it sees fit. could this be dirty carbs or carbs needing
syncronization?

I look forward to heering from you :)
