Steve,
         Could it be that the particular oil that you're using is
causing the clutch to lock when it gets hot? Perhaps switching oils
might work better. I can't speak for everyone but I use NAPA or
another inexpensive oil and change more often than I need to - about
every 1,000 miles.
         I have noticed when the 1000 miles is up, my transmission
does start to shift a little stiffer until I change the oil.
         Just some thoughts.
