Hey Frank, Is this the K&N that fits into the airbox, or the individual pods that go on the carbs?
There's a big difference. If you get the replacement filter that goes in the airbox there are no jetting changes. There really isn't much difference except you can clean the K&N and reuse it forever. I bought one because the reusable K&N cost about the same as two paper element air filters. It's already paid for itself. Despite K&N's claims, there was no discernable difference in airflow. If you're talking about K&N's individual pod filters that go on each carb, I'd say send 'em back. Replacing a perfectly good airbox with pod filters will do you no good. Even after you rejet the carbs, there's problems with hot intake temps and turbulent airflow. Just not worth it unless you're building a drag bike.
