I think weird situations are likely to happen when dealing with old bikes without a title. It doesn't have to be that the guy went and stole the bike, but I've seeing make cases of "and old room mate lefted here and never came for it.." or similar. The problem is that at the end of the day your are the one that have to deal with the poop.
