Although this varies by state, obviously, up here in Maine if its over
a certain age (15 or 20 years I think) you don't even need a title to
register the bike - therefore we do a lot of bike sales up here with
no title. That having been said - my first thought was 'uhoh - they're
stolen!'
Another thought - another friend is in the Self Storage business
- if someone abandons the self storage unit for a certain amount of
time, the owner of the self storage business gets legal right to the
property, but they wouldn't have a title. Guess I'd want to know more
- and pictures before I got too excited.
