Ed, Rear brakes are NOT YOUR FRIEND in curves. That's how I dumped mine the first time. I had that split second "oh s**t" moment of clarity when I leaned on the rear brake, and felt the back tire lock, slide, and then the world snapped back to normal speed and I hit the pavement.
Thank whatever divinity you believe in I was doing sub-25 at the time or I would have done more than screw up a brake pedal and bruise my ego. :p That's all I have for right now. :D Kurt On Jun 25, 2011 5:22 PM, "Ed" <[email protected]> wrote: I too tend to keep vehicles a long period of time which is why I am undecided on either a 250 or 750. What is the common mistake for new riders when they drop their bike? Thanks for your responses.
