Stripping a nighthawk engine and rebuilding it will be much less time
consuming than, say, a small block V8.

I have a relatively high degree of skill with tools, I would call a rebuild
a weekend project if you had all the parts at hand. For someone just
learning, three weekends, budgeting for all the checking and rechecking a
novice will need.
