Thanks surfswab for the book reference and animal warning. The local Barnes & Noble gives me a recorded message and then hangs up. Just ordered books 1&2 from Amazon but didn't pay for the 2-day shipping, so I'll have to wait and see if they come on time for this trip. In the meanwhile, I'd still appreciate any and all suggestions from the list.
