Kurt, you got me thinking. I originally wasn't thinking about that because the GPS takes up the whole "cigarette lighter." It did come with a USB cord, but I was considering of that as being for connections to computers for downloading new maps only. If the USB connector will work to power the GPS, then the answer is certainly to take the 2-outlet USB adapter out of my car and use that for both devices on my bike - a simple and elegant solution! Let me try that and thanks. This mailing list has helped me in so many ways.
