I was talking to Allen about this on another thread. Here is what we think: Plugs. Check they are good Mixture. Possible leaks on intake boots. With engine running sprat some carb cleaner on these boots a little at a time and see if the engine speed changes. If so, you have a small leak. Fuel is unlikely. You shouldn't need to turn the fuel off unless you have a vac leak in the petcock. Choke. Make sure they are actually closing all the way when you turn it off And my first guess with what mine is doing, coil. I am gonna replace it and try that.
