Update!
Still having this problem, but I think I have found the source. I
believe/hope it is the pulse generator. I have bought a good one (I hope) and
will install and see if that fixes it. I have ruled out gas, and therefore the
petcock and floats. Coils have been replaced and really doubt the CDI. I
tried to fix today, but the screws are too tight and I don't have my impact
driver with me in Miami. I do it soon.
Has anyone used pulse gens from an older model? They are unique for the '84,
but I am wondering if it is just the plug or the actual gens?
