Update #2 Installed a pulse generator today. Wouldn't start at all. Swapped the two white wires (was certain I traced them correctly) and fired right up while cold. Put it all back together and wouldn't start. Unplugged the CDI and plugged in another one. Ran fine. Removed everything and properly swapped the CDI. Put it all back together and it wouldn't start. Found broken wire at my splice. Fixed and ran fine. So now not sure if it was the CDI or the broken wire. I think the white may be ground and doesn't matter which one goes where, cause sure think I traced it correctly. Went for a ride and got it good and hot. Sat for 10 minutes and started fine. Crossing my fingers...
