Thank you all for the quick responses! The lights and turn indicators work fine, but I have actually always needed the bike to be in neutral to start, just having the clutch in doesn't work. Well.. I have bump started in 2nd a few times but I don't think that would be applicable here.
What is stumping me is that it works most of the time.. I just never want to take it far from home because I was stuck for a good 45 minutes one day while it was trying to decide if it wanted to start or not.
