Still haven't gotten around to testing all of your theories.. Repairs are going on in my apartment full swing and I haven't been able to spare a solid weekend to get the bike all cleaned up. I want to clean the gas tank and the carbs before I try to troubleshoot the starter, as any old gas in the lines is not in the best of shape and I don't want to suck any gunk through the intake. I will absolutely keep you all posted with kudos going to the owner of the idea that worked!
