Working on my son's bike, its been a basket case, combining two bikes to
complete one. I replaced the left-side control switch assembly and also
added the instrument cluster. After connecting those units, the headlamp
quite working (and yes, I did verify that the bulb works). I even tried
reverting back to the old switch assembly and unplugging the instrument
cluster. Still not working. Interesting note: when I have everything
connected including the headlamp, the hi-beam indicator remains lit
regardless of the hi-beam switch setting; when I disconnect the headlamp,
the indicator works as expected.. I verified that the switch assembly is
wired correctly and does not short. I also checked the fuses and the
connections on the back of the fuse panel. I'm stumped. Another
interesting note: I'm trying to wire up blinkers (after-market lights and
housing). I replaced the flasher unit. The blinkers will flash once and
that's it. I would appreciate any insight anyone may have. Thanks!
