Shut fuel off and pull the sediment bowl on the petcock. See if it has rust in
it.

Hi all,
My post carb clean bliss lasted 40 miles. Back to the before-behavior of
needing choke to run, and idling at 3k after the engine warmed up. I guess it
could be rust in the tank. There was some reddish residue in one carb, but the
others had none.
Is there anything else that could cause this behavior:
Cold engine, full choke, starts right upWarm engine: needs full choke and idles
at 3k-4k. The idle screw I had set to around 1k when the engine was running
fine after the carb cleaning.
The only other thing I did was adding an inline fuel filter. I could take that
out for a test.
Thanks!
Holger
