Next time I have the carbs out I’ll give them to a ultrasonic cleaning service as well. Yes, I checked the diaphragms, and they seemed fine. Yes, I cleaned the hell out of the valve seats and soaked the jets in carb cleaner several hours. The carb body I soaked in Pine-Sol overnight, and then washed it down several times with first carb cleaner, then brake cleaner. Lots of compressed air. I have not used Seafoam since the carb job, and I’m using e-free gas exclusively. What seems so weird to me is how it snaps from being abysmally bad to running pretty good for the freezing temps we have here currently. Smells like something mechanical.
