I have an Ethernet connection through a router/hub and increased the RAM to 20 MB. There are two versions of printer files available in the *MacHD>System>Library>Printers>PPDs>Contents>Resources* folder However, I am sorry to have to report that there were no such printer files available for the LaserWriter 300. I don't know why not but could it be that the LW 300 is not Ethernet compatible? I would assume that it is a Postscript printer because I suspect Apple would not support one which was not.
