Hei Brian

Yes, the LW 300 is not a PS printer. It's only a TT printer with the old standard 8-pins serial connector, and there are no ways of changing / connecting it to any kind of Ethernet / Ethernet bridge.... So this printer
is infact worthless together with the OS X in any version.

OS-X only supports Postscript level 2 printers. I have the same problem with the Laserwriter IINTX. It only has level 1. The only early printer that supports level 2 is the IIg. What I have been forced to do is to keep my performa 550 running as a print server. I use LocalTalk Bridge to enable my PB 3400 to print through it. To print from OS-x on my TiBook, I have to print to PDF. Then transfer the file to the PB 3400 and print it from there. The 550 has a tendency to have font problems if I try and print from it. The PB 3400 doesn't seem to have those problems. I suspect its caused by having a very old version of acrobat reader on the 550. Its a pain, but it works.
