Ok - so tested quicken import --
- dates are fine...
- I was able to change currency on my Canadian accounts with no
issue...
- However -- all my 'transfer' links were lost... meaning that when i
transferred from one account to another (both were in quicken) - it
linked the transactions... i checked several and it has nothing in the
transfer to... where the account would normally be listed (in the
statement) its in the memo - rather than 'bucket' (i think that's
where it should be)
- unable to test import transactions from bank - as this requires
licensed version - which i do not yet have (as i am still testing to
see which software i want to use)
- no direct connect to Canadian banks (these support direct quicken
connect - BMO MasterCard, Canada TD Canada Trust)
- dozens of extra statement lines for split transactions (ie payroll
deposit - which i split out all the deductions for easier tax time -
shows ALL items in that deposit as a separate line...) very
cluttered...(since a single payroll deposit has 10 or more splits)
tried view - hide split amounts - but this just hides the $$ not the
full line.
- info from account info is blanked out after import -- ie my
MasterCard account # was in account # field in quicken - field is now
blank -- same for all the other fields.. (i had contact name in memo,
phone# etc etc
- re transfers -- i tested the ones that are also transferring to
'cash' budget accounts (this was how i did it in quicken) -- so for
example the pet care budget - shows all the transfers - but not where
they came from (savings account)... (seems a small thing - but say i
decide i don't need a few of the budget deposits -- if i delete them
they wont delete from the cash account since their not linked any
more.
- no balance shows for 'zero' balance accounts (ie i paid off the
credit card - but it has no balance showing) if its zero i would like
to see that (not sure if this is a feature request or if its supposed
to show).
- only 10% of my scheduled transactions imported... (only for 2
accounts out of 20). (no memorized either - but i figured that would
happen)
- budgets did not import
- a bunch of categories imported wrong -- ie Salary Spouse: ZZZZZ -
not sure what the zzzz are for or from...
- those same categories are missing their matching transaction links.
i don't mind shrinking the number of buckets - but i dont want to
loose the transactions links... (so i can merge them to the new
buckets)
- unable to sort the buckets alphabetically...
- i miss the running balance column - i noticed another thread on this
- so i realize its not a bug. :)

hope this helps - i will post if i find more...
again i am a new user.. so some might be feature limitations...
