I don't 'need' it.

However, it makes it easier to include multiple CAB files, depending
on the target environment.
Creating the EXE also gives the advantage of reducing the size of the
overall distribution.

As a stand-alone setup program, I was NEVER happy with e-Pocket Setup.
Inno always impressed me as a much more robust and reliable app.

However, e-Pocket Setup was more than adequate at creating the CAB
files and an EXE that could easily be called from the main setup
created by Inno.
The EXE makes the shell call to ActiveSync and saves me the trouble of
having to do it with code in Inno Setup.
