We're as frustrated as anyone with Microsoft's strategy. We have been a
launch partner with Microsoft on every new handheld device platform
since 1998. Over the years, we have gotten some great support from Microsoft.

With Windows Phone 7, nothing. Perhaps we have been trying to contact
the wrong people, but we're not hearing anything back. Almost no one
from "the good old days" is still in the division.

Apple learned a lot from the mistakes it made with its initial release
of the iPhone. With Microsoft making a lot of the same mistakes, we can
only hope they, too, will come out with improvements.

In the meantime, Microsoft will continue to sell Windows Embedded
devices running Windows CE. I suspect that several manufacturers will
produce handheld devices that use that instead of Windows Phone 7,
especially for the business and enterprise market. We'll continue to
support those devices.

Should Microsoft decide to open up Windows Phone 7 to regular apps,
we'll be there, along with the thousands of developers using NS Basic/CE
(thanks!).

please don't be shy!
