So... I finally got round to listening to it, and it was far far better than I had been led to expect. How were today's (and yesteryear's) big names playing when they were 14? Are there any recordings to compare? After all, she's only a poor kid with a bumptious mother (and an undeniable amount of talent) and consequently a potential for inherited bumptiousness and psychological problems in her future.
