But you can also have your DHCP system issue a particular IP based on
your printer NIC's MAC Address.  That way any other information (WINS
server details etc) can be issued along with the 'static' IP address.
It also means you can control the changing of your printer's IP address
by changing it in your DHCP scope, and then rebooting the printer.

SIMPLE.  EASY.  EFFECTIVE.
