The removed server still in Active directory is most likely causing problems. Try to delete it. If an error message tells you can't, install Windows 2000 support tools and run ADSIedit. Delete the removed server wherever you see it.

Set it up with Advanced server (2000), with a differant name than the old computer. I then rebuilt the older computer (Win2000 pro) and gave it a new name. So, the old name from the old computer is still out there as a controler. I think this is screwing up my domain. So how do I get rid of the old computer? or point me to directions?
