I'm having a hard time seeing why the following command would have ANY
impact on drive *C:* or any .MSC files

*xcopy K:\Vid* D:\ /O /X /E /H /K /C /I /Q /Y *

What drive is the OS installed to?

Have you yet looked at the event log from a remote system?

I have yet to see a definitive error message, and the apparent conclusions
about the issue don't resonate with me.
