This seems doable, thanks.

The way it looks now, I suppose we’ll let all laptop users sync from home
using their VPN connection (directly to HQ with 10mbit).

For desktop users we’ll probably use a combination of your suggestion (pre
seed) and a well planned schedule.

I don't think you can use the old OST files, however you can seed the OST in
advance.

Subject: Use Outlook 2003 OST file in Outlook 2007

Hello,

We are going to perform a new PC rollout in our company (± 450 users, 4
sites). Currently we are using Outlook 2003 with OST files, and we are going
to migrate to Outlook 2007.

We are going to do an installation from scratch (new PCs). The problem we
have is, that our Exchange servers (located at head quarters) are connnected
through slow 2mbit WANs. So even if we only do a couple of migrations a day,
per site, this would easily saturate the WAN connections.

Is it possible to reuse the Outlook 2003 OST file in Outlook 2007, without
performing an in-place upgrade ?

With best regards,

Jelle
