Microsoft's done this before. It has always, without any exception I know of, proven out to be not as sunny as the press release suggests. Either the documentation is complete, or essential dependencies are not included, or Microsoft's own software relies on "undocumented" features, or there are NDA or patent concerns, or they change it all in the next release, or whatever.
