Again, GSM phones can be disabled as easily as CDMA phones. The idea that GSM phones are not traceable is flat-out wrong. Every GSM phone embeds an IMEI code. It's kind of like a MAC address for cell phones. Within the US, GSM carriers can share info on stolen IMEIs, lock them out of their networks, or trace them.
