Order from a Dell Certified Partner. They deal with getting the quote right and get better pricing than the Direct reps. Most get at least 5-10 % more off than the Direct reps for things like equalogic and such as well.
I agree the changing of the guard is quite ridiculous and we never keep Direct reps long, but that's about par for the course in most large organizations. Sales people come and go, become managers, crosstrain, etc. Just some thoughts. Also I would need to ask, Do you want 4x2 or 8 x 1 memory config? Or no DRAC card, or have the wrong quantity of HBA cards. Every time it happens we bring it to the attention of our account executive and they swear they will resolve the issue. They don't. Then 2 months later the account executive is replaced or has moved on and a new one comes on board, or the person that generates the quotes leaves the company.
