Care to qualify your last statement? I believe that Obama is not popular with a lot of people. As I said, I am no fan of his policies. If he turns doctrinaire, he stands a better than even chance of dragging down our economy and liberty in the same way that Hoover/FDR did in the 20's and 30's. I'm not a Republican, though they aren't fans of his either.
I think it significant that government employees (teachers and other school staff) are the ones staging this display for the students. It's, AFAICT, an act of propaganda.
