Do the users still actually have permissions to their profile folders? I can recall something screwy about XP profiles if they didn't have ownership of the folders....although they may have been roaming ones. It's all back in the mists of time now unfortunately...but if there have been changes to group memberships via GPO, it all smells a bit permissions-ish to me. Does rolling back the GPO changes and/or updates on any affected machines make any difference?
