Just tell them you know a guy currently having issues with Dell and bring the email response with you to the email and let them know that their handling of this type of thing disturbs you a lot.
What guaruntees can they give you they take this stuff seriously (ahem) and how they resolve such situations. :) Might get Sam some assistance.
