Recently I have been told not to use the gamma slider on the viewer to gamma correct images for linear workflow (gamma 2.2) because "that slider is not 32bit", but istead use a gamma node and use it as an input process. I have never found any problem with it don't really see the point. I would love if someone could confirm this or elaborate on it.
